Growing Culinary Herbs

Learn the basics of growing your own herb plants from seed. You will take home a sown flat of parsley herb seeds to tend. Soil, light, warmth, fertilizing, and climate requirements for basic culinary herbs will be discussed. You'll also learn the dos and don'ts of growing parsley, thyme, dill, basil, sorrel, chervil, mint, tarragon, oregano, calendula, chives, cilantro, rosemary, nasturtium, and perilla!

This class is taught by Cathy Sage, one of the designers for ABG's Herb Garden. Cathy has been growing herbs for more than 40 years and is excited to teach you all about herbs! The class takes place at the BP Energy Center in the Fir Room.
