Garden Etiquette

Alaska Botanical Garden strives to provide a place of peace, beauty, inspiration, education, & safety for the quiet enjoyment of our visitors.

The Garden is a living museum; a collection of gardens for the study, culture, exhibition, & display of plants and related arts. We encourage visitors to explore, learn, & enjoy. In exchange, we ask you to be respectful of our plant collections & considerate of fellow visitors.

Please help us preserve a safe, peaceful, & friendly atmosphere, and a secure habitat for our plants & wildlife by heeding these few simple rules.

  • No motorized vehicles

  • No harvesting or removal of plants or plant parts (seeds, fruits, leaves, etc.)

  • Leave no trace – take with you what you brought in

  • Food is allowed only in the Nursery/Gift Shop Plaza area

  • Alcohol is not permitted unless arranged prior to an event

  • Remain on trails at all times

  • Youth under 16 must be accompanied by an adult
