Volunteer at ABG!

Volunteer Orientation

All volunteers must attend one orientation per year in order to be eligible for volunteer opportunities. You'll learn what's new in the Garden, how to sign up for shifts and track your time, how we handle bear and wildlife safety in the Garden, and meet ABG staff and other volunteers!

Returning volunteers only need to attend the first half of the orientation to learn about new policies and opportunities, as well as receive annual bear and wildlife safety training. The second half of the orientation will include a brief tour of the garden and discussion of the garden’s history and current operations.

We welcome local businesses, youth groups, students, scouts, or clubs who want to come out as a group for a special project. Families are welcome to volunteer together; the youngest family member must be at least 7 years old. Volunteers younger than 16 are required to work alongside a parent or family member at least 18 years old.
