Pruning Essentials

Participants will be able to walk away with the knowledge of how to prune Alaska’s most common trees and shrubs (including the tools, goals, and timing) and how pruning and damage affect a tree’s biology.

Emily Rowe is a third-generation arborist. Born and raised in Alaska, she studied plant and soil science in Sweden before returning home to practice plant health care for a local tree service. She’s a Certified Arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture and a pesticide applicator in the state of Alaska. She’s a member of the American Society of Consulting Arborists.
