Call(s) for Art!
The Garden seeks proposals to design, construct, and install a large-scale, semi-permanent art piece by September 2025. The selected artist or team will be awarded funding to complete this project. Deadline to submit is December 1st, 2024!
Artists may also apply to showcase their art within the Garden’s outdoor grounds on an ongoing basis.

Ice Sculpture Competition
December 30th - January 5th
Submit your entry form to participate by Friday, December 13th!
Both the large 350 lb. block and small 10 lb. block categories are eligible for prizes.
Voting by public will take place on Sunday, January 5th during Brighter Winter Nights
(tickets must be purchased in advance during the competition). -
Vinyasa Flow Yoga
Sunday, November 24th | 2:00 - 3:00pm
This 60-minute yoga class forms a flowing sequence in coordination with the breath. This class includes asana (postures), breath work, and brief meditation after savasana to balance out our practice.

Mushroom Tincture Workshop
Monday, December 2nd | 5:00 - 7:00pm
Get ready for an evening of all things medicinal fungi! Join the owners of Far North Fungi, Allison and Gabe, for a hands-on workshop on extraction methods, bottling tinctures from start to finish, and medicinal properties of Chaga, Reishi, Turkey Tail and Lions Mane mushrooms.

Mushroom Cultivation Workshop

Learn to grow your own mushrooms! Join the owners of Far North Fungi, Allison and Gabe, for a hands-on workshop on growing oyster mushrooms. They’ll bring a mobile lab where you can create your own mushroom kit to take home.

Winter Storytime
Mondays in December (2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th) | 11:30am-12:00pm
Join us for an interactive storytime, as we read and move our bodies! December 2nd story is “Cozy” by Jan Brett. The story and program are designed for ages 6 and younger. Staff from the Musk Ox Farm will be bringing artifacts from the farm for families and kids to interact with.

Holiday Wall Hanging Basket

WORKSHOP FULL
Soul Sisters Basketree is back with Colleen Anagick and Sharon Hamilton to instruct you in weaving these versatile wall hanging baskets. This style basket comes right in time for the holidays. Participants will have a variety of embellishments available to choose from to personalize their baskets. -
Solstice Candle Workshop

Want to make these darker nights a little brighter? Join ABG staff, Katie Redmond, and learn to make your own solstice candles. Participants will use several types of molds to make homemade beeswax candles. You'll learn techniques on adding scents, apply fresh pressed flowers and colors! -

We accept used pots in the following sizes:

— 4 inch
— 3.5 inch (deep + regular)Clean pots in good condition can be dropped off with admissions staff during open hours only.
Pots left at ABG without staff awareness will be taken to the landfill. -
Nationally Accredited Meconopsis Collection
Commonly referred to as Himalayan poppies, the genus Meconopsis is composed of fuzzy, flowering plants native to the Tibetan Plateau.
