Autumn Welcome Mat

Fall is in the air and right at your doorstep! Why not welcome it and those you love with a hand painted welcome mat? Each participant will create their own autumn greeting using stencils and acrylic paint on a 18x30 coir doormat.

Tai Chi at the Garden

Fall Planting Workshop
Thursday, September 25th | 6:00 - 7:30pm
Join ABG's Will Criner, for a hands-on planting workshop with tips for growing garlic and other bulbs in your garden. Participants will receive garlic to take home and plant.

Marionette Puppet Workshop
Sunday, September 28th | 12:00 - 2:00pm
Salila Andrea, with Krambambuli Puppet Theater, will be leading a how-to Alaskan animals marionette workshop. In this workshop you will be guided to create a two string Alaskan animal marionette.

5- Week Yoga Series

Join ABG & Meg for a 5-week series in October. Every Thursday we will engage in a 90-minute yoga practice that is specifically designed to support your nervous system, mental health, and mood (winter is coming!).

The Alaska Botanical Garden only grows with the sun, the soil, and the ongoing support of our generous community. Consider a lasting gift by purchasing a leaf from the ABG donor wall sculpture. Contributions will be honored with a personalized, engraved metal leaf and make a great gift for friends or family to celebrate an important milestone or to honor the memory of a loved one. -
Repurpose Nursery Pots
We accept used pots in the following sizes:
Round: 1 gal. and 2 gal.
Square: 5.5”, 4”, and 3.5” (tall only)Clean pots in good condition can be dropped off with staff during open hours.
Pots left at ABG without staff awareness will be taken to the landfill.

Nationally Accredited Meconopsis Collection
Commonly referred to as Himalayan poppies, the genus Meconopsis is composed of fuzzy, flowering plants native to the Tibetan Plateau.
