Join the staff of the Alaska Botanical Garden for beginning classes on seed starting, container gardening and plant propagating. Learn some easy techniques to help you achieve success as a gardener. Whether you are growing food or flowers, these classes are designed to guide you in growing your own.
February 18th: we’ll look at several methods for seed starting, how to read a seed packet, how to keep track with a journal, and we’ll discuss gardening on a budget.
February 25: Container gardening, going organic-how and why, simple garden design, and the care and feeding of the garden.
March 4: composting-how and why, weed identification, books and other support materials, what tools you’ll need, and getting the most out of your soil.
