Snowshoeing & Winter Tree ID

January 10, 2015 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free - $7

Saturday, January 10th
1 – 3 pm @ ABG

Join ABG for a snowshoe walkabout and learn about winter tree identification! Special guests Stephen Nickel & Jason Moan of the AK Division of Forestry and ABG’s Patrick Ryan will be leading the tour. They will provide information on winter plant identification, pests, and forest health. Snowshoes in adult sizes will be provided. Unfortunately we will not have sizes available for small children, but feel free to bring your own! This is a perfect time for beginner snowshoers to try out their skills while also learning about the Boreal forest. $5 kids under 18, $7 adults, ABG members free! RSVP is required. Spaces limited.

If snow is in limited supply, we will take a winter walk and focus in winter plant identification and forest health.

In the event of low RSVP, you will be notified of cancellation at least the day prior to the workshop and registrations will be refunded.
