Building Birch Birdhouses

January 17, 2015 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

$20 - $25

Saturday, January 17th
1 to 3 pm @ ABG

Join ABG to learn how to make beautiful handmade birch log birdhouses for chickadees and nuthatches! Research shows that birds prefer round, natural-looking birdhouses over traditional square ones. During this workshop, Mike Monterusso will teach you about the logic behind the design of each feature and show how the various parts are assembled to make the finished product. You’ll also learn how to hang the birdhouse and how to perform yearly maintenance to attract birds year after year.

Birdhouse materials kits are available for $50 which include all supplies to make your own birdhouse at during the workshop or at home. Please let us know in advance of the workshop if you would like to purchase a materials kit. Completed birdhouses are also available for $80 (a limited number will be available at the workshop). This workshop will take place indoors and out, so please dress accordingly. There will be a 10 person limit for this workshop. RSVP is required.

In the event of low enrollment, you will be notified of cancellation at least the day prior to the workshop and registrations will be refunded.
