Tour seven private gardens in Anchorage and Eagle River. Learn the owners secrets of success. ABG membership required
May 22– September 18 Tuesday – Sunday 11am-4pm Discovery Duffels $5 rental fee, in addition to regular Garden admission. Shop-in-the-Garden Families and groups with children ages 4-9 can rent a variety of fun educational toys.
May 22 – September 18 Tuesday – Sunday 11am-4pm Shop-in-the-Garden Open (Garden admission: $5 pp / $10 per family, free to members & children 2 & under) Shop-in-the-Garden ABG and American Horticultural Society members get 10% discount
June 1-September 11 Exhibit: “An Alaska Kitchen GardenFree exhibit at ABG entrance Alaska Botanical Garden Enjoy a colorful display of vegetables, herbs, fruit, & edible flowers. Harvest is donated to Bean’s Café and the Food Bank of Alaska

Junior Master Gardener Program $125 per child, Registration required (Some scholarships may be available) ABG Junior Master Gardener Area Hands‐on activities for children ages 7-13, teaching botany, horticulture, and ecology.

$45 per person ($35 ABG Members)
Lead by Carmel Tysver at the Garden. Each participant will create a hypertufa trough.

Alaska Botanical Garden Scarecrow contest, family fun & games! Harvested produce is donated to Bean’s Café, & the Alaska Food Bank.

Fall Clean Up at the Garden Free in exchange for volunteer work Alaska Botanical Garden Volunteers help in the nursery, inventory plants, trim perennials, & mulch flowerbeds.
